Hello Nashville – Why I Started EastSide HandyGuys

Hi Nashville! I’m Jason Indorato, owner and operator of EastSide HandyGuys, and I’m excited to finally share a little about who I am and why I started this business.

For more than 20 years, I worked behind the scenes managing some pretty big operations — from high-rise residential buildings in New York City to large school and church campuses here in Nashville. My days were filled with everything from building maintenance and construction projects to safety planning and staff management. I oversaw multimillion-dollar budgets, coordinated dozens of employees, and made sure massive facilities kept running smoothly day after day.

It was rewarding work, and I learned a ton about what it takes to keep a building safe, efficient, and functional. But after years in that world, I realized something: what I loved most wasn’t the spreadsheets or the board meetings. It was fixing things. Solving problems. Walking away from a project knowing that I made someone’s day easier, safer, or more comfortable.

That’s what led me to start EastSide HandyGuys.

My family and I have called East Nashville home for over 10 years, and I wanted to create a service that reflects the spirit of this neighborhood: creative, reliable, and community-focused. I built EastSide HandyGuys so Nashville families, landlords, and businesses would have someone they could actually count on for the small (and big) jobs that keep life running smoothly.

When your faucet leaks, your fence needs fixing, or your rental property needs fast turnover repairs, you don’t always need a giant contractor. You need a skilled, trustworthy neighbor who shows up, gets it done right, and stands by their work. That’s the gap I wanted to fill.
